Powerful winds blew several metal roofing sheets off a company and flung them onto a power substation, causing a power outage for more than 100 enterprises in southern Dong Nai Province, a neighbor of Ho Chi Minh City, on Monday afternoon.
Dong Nai Power Company on Monday night confirmed the incident and said that the firm fixed the problem at the An Binh 110 kV transformer station and restored power for the sheer number of businesses.
Heavy rains, coupled with thunderstorms, battered many parts of Bien Hoa City in the province at 4:00 pm on the same day.
