Vietnamese police are probing a case in which three South Korean men allegedly committed a brutal assault at an entertainment establishment in Ho Chi Minh City, killing the South Korean owner of the facility and seriously injuring one employee who was reported as a Vietnamese man.
The incident occurred during the early hours of Saturday at an entertainment and food service building on Tran Hung Dao Street in Nguyen Cu Trinh Ward, District 1.
Local police rushed to the scene of the crime where they arrested one suspect, while the two others had fled.
Investigators also examined the scene and collected information from witnesses and other people to serve an investigation into the case.
The dead victim was A., a 40-year-old South Korean man, the establishment owner.
Given the involvement of foreign nationals, District 1 police are working closely with relevant units from the municipal police department to verify and investigate the case.
Meanwhile, the South Korean Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City has stepped in to provide consular assistance to the victim's family.

According to the Korea Broadcasting System (KBS), the incident occurred at the establishment at 3:00 am on December 28.
The three South Korean suspects, all in their 30s, assaulted the restaurant owner and one of his employees with a blunt object and other tools.
The owner died at the scene, while the employee was hospitalized in critical condition.
As shown in a video circulating within the local South Korean community, the three half-naked tattooed men were brutally attacking someone who was later identified as the deceased owner, according to Yonhap News Agency.
Citing local Korean community sources, a South Korean national living in the city said, “I heard that these suspects had used hallucinogenic substances and then assaulted a Vietnamese male employee there. When the establishment owner intervened, they attacked him to death.”
Further details of the killing have yet to be announced as local police are continuing their probe into the case.
