Around 30 big displacement motorcycles unlawfully entered the Bac Giang-Lang Son Expressway in northern Vietnam and disobeyed stop signals given by traffic police before running away on Saturday morning, with one of them hitting a traffic police officer and leaving him injured.
N.V.T., 23, one of these cruiser bike riders, crashed into Major Vu Thanh Tung.
As a result, the traffic police officer sustained minor injuries and had to be bandaged.
By 5:00 pm the same day, Tung's health condition had become stable.
T., residing in Hanoi's Hai Ba Trung District, was then detained to serve an investigation, according to the Ministry of Public Security’s Traffic Police Department.

CCTV footage showed that this group of cruiser bikes, registered in many cities and provinces such as Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, illegally entered the expressway, which connects Bac Giang Province with Lang Son Province, at around 10:00 am on the day.
When they encountered traffic police being on duty on the route, some of the riders took flight toward Lang Son.
Some of the detained riders declared that the gang gathered in Hanoi’s Long Bien District at around 6:00 am the same day and left for Bac Giang.
In addition, several riders failed to present their driver's licenses and vehicle registration certificates.
As of 3:00 pm the same day, police had seized over 10 of the cruiser bikes and were hunting for the runaway riders.
