A screenshot captured from a video shows a young man doing a wheelie on a red scooter while carrying a young woman sitting back to back on the roof of the Thu Thiem Tunnel in Ho Chi Minh City.

A nearly-one-minute video that made its rounds on social media and provoked public concerns on Sunday shows a young man doing a wheelie on a red scooter while carrying a young woman sitting back to back on the roof of the Thu Thiem Tunnel in Ho Chi Minh City.

The video displays the biker doing a wheelie for a long distance.

The young woman put her hands behind her back to hug the biker’s belly to avoid falling, while another person used a phone to film their act.

The road section featured in the video is part of Tran Bach Dang Street in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area in Thu Thiem Ward, Thu Duc City, an administrative district under Ho Chi Minh City.

Police in Thu Duc confirmed that they already learned about the case and were verifying the video before summoning these people for further investigation.

Also, the video was believed to be recorded a while ago.

A social media account that posted the video was found deactivated. Some other users had downloaded the video for re-posting.

Earlier on this road section, Tran Thi Ngoc Trinh, well known as Ngoc Trinh, a 34-year-old lingerie model, performed dangerous acts while riding a motorcycle such as putting both legs to one side of the bike and riding with no hands and posted a clip on social media to show off her riding skills.

Ngoc Trinh was then arrested for disturbing public order in that fashion, police said.
