-- Vietnamese and Chinese ministries, agencies, sectors, and localities signed 36 cooperation documents during Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Vietnam lasting until Wednesday.

-- Ngo Thi Man, spouse of Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, and Prof. Peng Liyuan, spouse of Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping, visited the Vietnamese Women’s Museum in Hanoi on Tuesday.

-- The international passenger terminal (T2) of Da Nang International Airport in central Vietnam has obtained a Welcome Chinese certification from the China Tourism Academy to recognize its efforts for upgrading services to satisfy Chinese travelers.

-- A passenger bus rear-ended a car, triggering a pile-up and causing extensive damage to numerous cars on 3 Thang 2 Street in Vung Tau City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, southern Vietnam on Tuesday afternoon.

-- Residents discovered and captured a 3.5kg monitor lizard along the banks of Tham Luong Canal, which runs through Go Vap District in Ho Chi Minh City, and subsequently turned it in to the municipal Forest Protection Department on Tuesday.

-- A construction project’s roof collapsed in Thai Binh Province, northern Vietnam on Tuesday afternoon, leading to one fatality, six injuries, and one person still unaccounted for.

-- During a discussion on Tuesday, Bui Hoa An, deputy director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport, described d the concept of studying a Saigon River parellel road, approximately 80 kilometers in length, to connect the city with the southeastern region. The first section under consideration spans from the Ba Son Bridge to the Binh Trieu Bridge, measuring about four kilometers in length and 30 meters in width, with an estimated total investment of around VND3.5 trillion (US$144.2 million).

-- A report released by Vietnam National Cyber Security Technology Company on Tuesday showed that there were approximately 13,900 cybersecurity attacks on systems in Vietnam in 2023, reflecting a 9.5-percent increase compared to the previous year.
