One person was injured after a four-seater car that was reversing at high speed plowed into three motorbikes and another car in front of a furniture store onto a street in Nghe An Province, north-central Vietnam on Monday.

The accident occurred at noon on Monday on Hoang Phan Thai Street in Vinh City, Nghe An Province.

CCTV footage from a local household showed that the white car was moving backward when it hit three motorbikes on the street as well as a car parked on the sidewalk.

After the car stopped, the female driver whose identity remained unknown exited the vehicle.

The area was crowded at the time of the accident, but only one person was slightly injured.

Traffic police officers concluded that the driver mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes.
