Saigon Railway JSC said on Monday that it had decided to commend and reward a railway guard as he narrowly rescued a man who crossed at a level crossing in an attempt to rush in a train in Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam this month.
The rail guard, Trinh Dung, who currently works for the Bien Hoa railroad team of Saigon Railway JSC, saved the man in the span of only four seconds, while the cargo train was traveling at 80 kilometers per hour on April 7.

He had earlier closed the safety fences and was standing in his position waiting for the train to pass.
However, a man climbed over the fence and ran toward the train, according to camera footage.
Dung immediately ran to the man, grabbed his arm, and pulled him to safety.
