-- Authorities in Quang Ninh Province, northern Vietnam are investigating the cause of an accident in a local coal mine that killed three workers and injured another on Monday.

-- Vietnam’s National Cybersecurity Association on Monday introduced anti-phishing software which will be officially provided for residents at no charge from July.

-- A resident in Ho Chi Minh City on Monday handed over a wreathed hornbill which belongs to Group IB of rare and endangered species that need to be preserved to the municipal Forest Protection Department. His family member caught the bird on their terrace on Sunday morning.

-- The administration in Lam Dong Province, located in Vietnam’s Central Highlands, said on Monday that it had suggested national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines increase the frequency of flights between the province and Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and resume other flights from/to the province.

-- Authorities in Hanoi have planned 1,620 parking areas but have put only 57 of them into operation, director of the municipal Department of Transport Nguyen Phi Thuong said at a meeting with local voters on Monday.

-- As many as 52 tourists were hospitalized due to suspected food poisoning after dining at a restaurant in Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province, south-central Vietnam on Sunday evening, a local official said on Monday.

-- Vietnam's low-cost air carrier Vietjet opened a direct air route linking Hanoi and Japan's Hiroshima on Sunday, marking the airline’s eighth air route linking Vietnam and Japan.

-- The Ho Chi Minh City Night Run Eximbank 2024 will take place on May 17-19 in the southern metropolis with the participation of nearly 5,000 runners from 30 countries and territories, heard a press conference held on Monday.

-- The Hue Festival and Hue International Arts Festival 2024 will take place on June 7-12 at major tourist attractions in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
