Tourism authorities in Thanh Hoa Province, north-central Vietnam are working with representatives of British broadcasterBBC on a cooperation program to promote the province’s tourism on the BBC News channel.
At a working session on Monday, BBC representatives briefed the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism about the broadcaster’s strengths and experience in the communication industry, as well as the opportunities for the two sides to cooperate in tourism promotion activities.
BBC News said it will support the department to promote Thanh Hoa’s tourism products to international tourists.
Leaders of the department told the British broadcaster about the province’s recent tourism achievements and its potential for tourism development in the future.
They also said Thanh Hoa has been boosting tourism promotion activities that have drawn great attention from major foreign travel firms as well as international travelers.

The leaders expressed their hope that BBC News would promote Thanh Hoa tourism on its digital platforms and assist the department in creating trailers and television commercials (TVCs) that convey the message of ‘Thanh Hoa Tourism - Flavors of Four Seasons’ to international tourists.
According to Thanh Hoa newspaper, this cooperation program aims to fully harness Thanh Hoa’s tourism potential, positioning the province as not only an attractive tourist destination but also one of the key attractions in Vietnam for foreign travelers in the near future.
Both sides expressed optimism about the prospects for the cooperation and emphasized the use of diverse media strategies to publicize the ‘favors of four seasons’ of Thanh Hoa, said the newspaper.
To achieve its target of welcoming 13.8 million visitors in 2024, the province’s tourism authorities are concentrating on developing new tourism products, enhancing the quality of tourism human resources, applying technologies in tourism development, and intensifying tourism promotion activities through media and events, according to VTC News.
In addition to renowned Sam Son beach, Thanh Hoa is home to many other charming attractions, including Hai Tien and Hai Hoa beaches, Ben En National Park, Pu Luong nature reserve, Ham Rong historical and cultural relic site, Cam Luong fish stream, and the Ho Dynasty citadel, among others, news site VnExpress reported.
