Several streets in Ho Chi Minh City are filled with various potholes, creating hardships for commuters, especially in the rainy season.
In particular, Pham Van Sang Street in Binh Chanh District and Muong Tim Street in Thu Duc City have seriously deteriorated.
The three-kilometer Pham Van Sang Street has its surface peeled off, giving rise to holes.
On rainy days, rainwater stagnated on these holes, making the street a mess and trapping road users.

Phan Van Thanh, a 53-year-old resident on Pham Van Sang Street, said that the potholes on the street pose a significant risk of traffic accidents. He also noted that dirty rainwater splashes onto road users' clothes due to these holes.
Similarly, residents have had to travel on a 100-meter-long degraded section of Muong Tim Street in Thu Duc City over the past several years.
They have to reduce speed to avoid potholes. Some have to take their motorbikes through the section.
