-- General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and State President To Lam had a meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden in New York on Wednesday afternoon (local time), as part of the Vietnamese leader’s U.S. trip for the United Nations Summit of the Future and the 79th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 79).

-- Party chief and State President To Lam, his spouse, and a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam left New York for Cuba on Wednesday (local time), marking his first state visit to the country at the invitation of First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee and President of Cuba Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez.

-- At a meeting with Party chief and State President To Lam in New York on Wednesday, World Bank President Ajay Banga underlined that Vietnam is one of the WB’s especially important partners, pledging to prioritize the allocation of large capital resources to Vietnam.

-- As many as 23 students at a middle and high school in Kien Giang Province, southern Vietnam were hospitalized for suspected food poisoning on Monday and Wednesday after consuming food bought at the school’s canteen.
