Coach Kiatisuk Senamuang on Tuesday morning unexpectedly shared on his verified Facebook page his decision to resign from his role as head coach of the Cong An Hanoi (CAHN) Football Club, playing at Vietnam’s top-tier V.League 1, citing personal and family reasons.
“This morning I was having breakfast with my CAHN President, it was a warm goodbye from my wonderful boss,” Kiatisuk wrote in English.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at CAHN and I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given and the experiences during my work here, even though it was a short period.
“I have gained a lot during my working time here.
“However, due to my personal family issues, I have to resign from my position as a head coach of CAHN and return to Thailand.”
The Thai coach stated that he has completed the necessary paperwork and will undertake further steps required to ensure the best possible support for the team, which is under the auspices of Hanoi police.
He expressed his desire to maintain a positive and amicable relationship with the Hanoi-based football club, coaching staff, and players, while also extending his best wishes for the team’s continued success.
Kiatisuk transitioned from LPBank Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC to assume the coaching post at CAHN on January 16.
During his four-month tenure, he oversaw a total of 11 matches, resulting in six wins, one draw, and four losses.
In the final game under his leadership, CAHN secured a 3-1 victory over Khanh Hoa FC in Round 18 of the 2023-24 V.League 1 on Sunday.
After 18 rounds, the team secured second place in the rankings, accruing 31 points, eight points adrift of table leaders Nam Dinh FC.
