Vietnam names 2 queens, 6 runners-up at beauty pageants in one night

The final night of two beauty pageants took place in Quang Ninh Province, northern Vietnam and the south-central province of Binh Thuan on Saturday night, naming two queens and six runners-up.

Pham Thi Ngoc Quynh, 26, from Hai Duong Province, northern Vietnam won Miss Tourism Vietnam 2024, which was organized in Quang Ninh.

Meanwhile, Vo Le Que Anh, 23, from Quang Nam Province in central Vietnam, was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2024 during the grand finale in Binh Thuan.

Besting other 40 candidates across the country, the beauty from Hai Duong Province, who is a student from the Faculty of English Language of Foreign Trade University in Hanoi, claimed the most-coveted Miss Tourism Vietnam title.

The first and second runner-up titles respectively went to Huynh Kim Anh, from Ho Chi Minh City, and Le Thi Anh Tuyet, from Nghe An Province.

Besides, the panel of judges awarded the ‘Most-favored Beauty,’ ‘Talented Beauty,’ ‘Most Beautiful Face,’ 'Inspirational Beauty,’ ‘Best Gown,’ ‘Best Ao Dai,’ and’ Fashion Beauty’ prizes to some contestants during the finale.

The contestants participated in three rounds, namely ao dai (Vietnam's traditional dress), swimsuit, and evening gown categories.

At Miss Grand Vietnam 2024, Vo Le Que Anh, standing at 1.73 meters with body measurements of 86-62-89 centimeters, triumphed over 35 other contestants to become the beauty queen.

Previously, she earned the second runner-up title at a beauty contest for students at Hue University in 2020, made it to the top 40 contestants at Miss Vietnam 2020, and was the second runner-up at Miss Tourism Da Nang 2022.

Four other beauties, Le Phan Hanh Nguyen, Vu Thi Thu Hien, Lam Thi Bich Tuyen and Pham Thi Anh Vuong, were respectively named the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up.

Nguyen Vinh Ha Phuong claimed the ‘Best Introduction’ award, while Tran Hong Ngoc was presented with the ‘Best in Swimsuit’ prize and Nguyen Thi Huong Lan won the ‘Best in Swimsuit by Fan Vote’ honor.

Bui Ly Thien Huong won the ‘Best in Evening Gown’ prize, while Lam Thi Bich Tuyen bagged the ‘Best Introduction Video’ prize.

Other contestants won the ‘Best Catwalk,’ ‘Miss Fashion,’ and ‘Grand Voice’ awards at the final night of the beauty pageant.

Therefore, just in one night, Vietnam announced two more beauty queens and an additional six runners-up.
