Many locations in Da Nang City, central Vietnam have recreated the traditional Tet atmosphere with various activities and decorations, attracting local and foreign tourists.
The tourists were excited to experience activities typically found during traditional Tet celebrations, such as making banh in (snow-flaked cakes) and jam, and wrapping banh tet (cylindrical glutinous rice cakes) and banh chung (square sticky rice cakes) during the ‘Xuan Yeu Thuong 2025’ (Spring of Love) program opened at the East Sea Park on Vo Nguyen Giap Street in Ngu Hanh Son District late last week.
The program will last until Tuesday.
At the program, visitors enjoyed traditional dishes, including cu kieu (pickled leek), cha lua (Vietnamese pork sausage), and nem ran (fried spring rolls).

Shaen, an American tourist, expressed her delight at experiencing Vietnam’s Tet celebrations.
"The atmosphere is bustling. Making different types of cakes or participating in games are new experiences for me. They help me better understand Vietnamese culture and people," Shaen said.
“Local people are friendly. They eagerly invited me to try traditional Tet dishes."

On Thang Long Street in Cam Le District, the traditional Tet was also vividly recreated through the 'Tet Viet - Xuan At Ty 2025' program, which took place between Friday and Sunday last week.
Locals and tourists felt like they had traveled back to the past as a corner on the street was decorated with old house and temple models.
Vietnam's traditional Tet customs were featured through the activities of bai choi (a folk gambling game and music), lotto shows, and many other folk games.
Traditional Tet dishes were also introduced and sold to the public.
