A waterfall in Phu Yen Province, south-central Vietnam is rising as a popular tourist destination for its stunning natural scenery and unique geological features, similar to the famous Ganh Da Dia (Cliffs of Plate Stones) national landscape.
Vuc Hom Waterfall, nestled in Vinh Xuan Village of An Linh Commune, Tuy An District, lies approximately 30 kilometers north of Tuy Hoa, the capital of Phu Yen Province.
Visitors can reach the site by traveling along National Highway 1 and making a left turn onto Provincial Road 634, which winds through the forest leading to Vinh Xuan.

From there, visitors can either walk 500 meters or hire a local guide to reach the waterfall.
The entrance to Vuc Hom Waterfall is rocky and can be challenging to navigate.

Covering one hectare, Vuc Hom Waterfall features a year-round flow from a height of 20 meters, surrounded by towering basalt columns similar to Ganh Da Dia.
Unlike Ganh Da Dia, which extends toward the sea, Vuc Hom’s basalt formations are nestled in the mountains.

The waterfall is most beautiful from March to September, with a gentle flow rather than a strong current.
With its pristine, natural beauty, and fresh, cool air, Vuc Hom Waterfall is an ideal spot for relaxation, offering opportunities for swimming, boating, and camping.

“The scenery is stunning, and I especially enjoy the gentle flow of the waterfall and the serene lake,” said Duong Ngoc Chau, a 23-year-old tourist from neighboring Binh Dinh Province.
Visitors should plan their trip for the afternoon to enjoy the sunset shortly after leaving the waterfall.

Nguyen Thi Hong Thai, director of the Phu Yen Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, noted that while Vuc Hom has significant eco-tourism potential, its current lack of infrastructure and services limits visitor experience.
Plans are underway to develop this potential and improve tourist amenities.
