The international section of the French business confederation, MEDEF International, today finished its ninth working trip that lasted from December 2 to 4, 2014 to Vietnam.
The French private sector, after welcoming the Vietnamese Prime Minister and his business delegation in France last September 2013, at MEDEF, the ‘House of French companies’, is glad to pay back a visit to Vietnam, said MEDEF representative.
The French business delegation, led by Mr Frédéric Sanchez, President of the France-Vietnam business council of MEDEF International and Chairman of the French FIVES company, visited both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The objectives of the delegation, comprising 20 French companies such as Alcatel, Alstom, BNP Paribas, GDF Suez, SNCF along with a number of leading French small and mediums enterprises (SMEs), are to promote business relations between the two countries, understand the business climate and further strengthen the partnerships with Vietnamese companies.
During the visit, the delegation met with the members of the Vietnamese government in charge of economic issues, as well as with the local private sector and the international financial institutions. The delegation was also invited to visit a few French companies settled in the industrial zones of HCMC, in order to understand concretely how to invest in the country.
French companies are willing to share with the Vietnamese authorities and with their private counterparts the technologies and solutions that they can bring, and are dedicated to work for the greater development of Vietnam, thanks to their international expertise and experience, said MEDEF representative.
France is committed to be present and invest in the country in the long term. Much more can be developed between both countries and French companies are willing to keep the dialogue and exchanges alive, said MEDEF representative.
