Apple authorized resellers across Vietnam began iPhone 15 deliveries at 00:00 on Friday.

Customers started lining up to get the new iPhone 15 at shops in Ho Chi Minh City at midnight the day before the launch.

FPT Shop, a retail chain owned by Vietnamese technology firm FPT, organized an iPhone handover event at three of its stores in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang City.

At an FPT Shop outlet on Le Loi Street in downtown Ho Chi Minh City, its employees were busy handing over the first iPhone 15s to customers from 0:01 on Friday.

A representative of FPT Shop, which is the first retailer in Vietnam to directly import Apple’s entire line of products, said that the chain had received over 30,000 pre-orders for the iPhone 15.

The retailer handed over more than 5,000 iPhone 15s in its first few minutes of sales.

Similarly, customers, mainly young people, began picking up iPhone 15s at mobile retailer The Gioi Di Dong’s TopZone store on Khanh Hoi Street in District 4, Ho Chi Minh City early Friday morning.

A representative of TopZone said that some 5,000 Apple smartphones were expected to be sold across the chain’s 212 stores on Friday.

The retailer had earlier received 25,000 pre-orders for the iPhone 15 at its TopZone and The Gioi Di Dong outlets. Among the reserved iPhone 15 models, the most expensive device, iPhone 15 Pro Max, was the most popular.

Meanwhile, a representative of Minh Tuan Mobile said that the mobile phone retailer had handed iPhone 15s to 500 customers by dawn on Friday.

As of Thursday, over 15,000 reservations for the iPhone 15 series had been made at Minh Tuan Mobile.

Seventy percent of the customers ordered 256GB and 512GB versions of the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Di Dong Viet also started its iPhone 15 handover at eight stores across Vietnam.

“We are stepping up efforts to hand these world-renowned smartphones to customers as soon as possible,” said Phung Phuong, a representative of mobile phone store chain Di Dong Viet.

Despite the current financial hit, iPhone fans are keen on the launch of the iPhone 15 lineup and they are willing to purchase a new device, said a representative of retailer 24hStore.

Apple unveiled four new devices – the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max – at the 'Wonderlust' event, which was streamed from its Cupertino headquarters in California on September 12.
