The Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA) has unveiled a list of the 10 worst earners in Vietnam last year, with the majority coming from Japan’s Toyota brand.

Among the worst-sellers were Honda Civic Type R, Suzuki Ciaz, Honda Accord, Toyota Yaris, Toyota Hilux, Toyota Alphard, Hyundai Venue, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, Isuzu Mu-X, and Ford Explorer.

Nineteen Honda Civic Type R cars reached consumers in 2023, making the model the worst-seller.

Yet, the cars were traded in the market at a limited amount.

Meanwhile, Hyundai Venue made its debut in the Vietnamese market in mid-December last year, resulting in its weak sales.

Data from the VAMA indicated that just one Suzuki Jimny car was sold last year.

However, the model has yet to be officially launched in Vietnam, so it was not listed as the worst earner in the Southeast Asian nation in 2023.

Besides, other auto models named as unattractive to consumers in Vietnam in 2023 included Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Palisade, Isuzu D-Max, Toyota Innova Cross, and Mazda BT-50.
