A student from Thua Thien Hue Province, central Vietnam found a black plastic bag with VND88 million (US$3,360) on a local street on Tuesday and immediately contacted his school’s management board for help tracking down its rightful owner.

On the same day, a spokesperson for the school board at Huynh Thuc Khang Middle School in Hue City, the provincial capital, reported that the local police in Dong Ba Ward assisted the school in identifying the owner of a bag containing cash.

The bag had been discovered on the street by To Khanh Hoang Phuc, a 14-year-old from a low-income family.

Phuc, an eighth grader, discovered the bag while walking to school on Tuesday morning.

He later brought the bag to his teachers so that they could help him find the owner of the bag.

Thanks to support from some police officers, the bag was reunited with its owner, who was identified as a local delivery driver.
