Christchurch Educated, a group of education providers in New Zealand, will coordinate with Education New Zealand to provide experiential classes in Vietnam which simulate the education environment in the Oceanian country for the first time.
The activity will take place in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday this week and in Hanoi the next day.
Teachers from New Zealand will administer the classes.
Vietnamese students will be instructed to access the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education method through the activity of making models of bridges with a high weight limit.
They can explore product design by addressing problems, collaborating in groups, and developing a positive mindset.
They will also learn about the process of finding solutions to design a sustainable living environment.
After these classes, parents and students can directly talk with teachers from nearly 20 education institutions in Christchurch to gain information about their curricula, scholarship opportunities, and overseas study.
Christchurch is home to 65 education institutions, including high schools, English language centers, vocational centers, and universities which are among the top two percent in the world’s best universities. The city has more than 6,300 overseas students from 100 countries and territories.
