Well-known local model Vu Nguyen Ha Anh from Hanoi continues to be appointed UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador after her first tenure from August 2010.

During her last 2 years at the position, the model contributed in many UNICEF’s community activities to increasing public awareness of the rights of children and women.

“Supporting UNICEF's work for children in Viet Nam is a life-long dream. Child rights is an issue that I've been engaged with on many different levels for a number of years,” the model shared at a press briefing in Hanoi on the re-appointment on August 28.

“But it is a privilege and an immense pleasure to team up with UNICEF, an organization that has a unique mission, tremendous capacity and has already achieved so much in Vietnam ", she added.

Born in 1982 in Hanoi, Ha Anh got a business degree from Reading University (UK) and started her modeling career in the country after graduation in 2006.

She won several modeling contests in the UK and worked as an international and professional lingerie model until she came back to Vietnam in 2009.

Besides modeling, Ha Anh was known as an MC as well as the host and judge for Vietnam’s Next Top Model in 2010.

The beauty has recently pursued a professional singing career by releasing two music videos “Take My Picture” and “From the Very Start.”
