Monday, May 13, 2013, 16:30 GMT+7

An exhibition showcasing undisclosed pictures of French actress Brigitte Bardot has been kicked off in Sofitel Saigon Plaza Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1.

It is a part of the “BB Forever - Brigitte Bardot, La Legende” (Brigitte Bardot, a legend) program which has been held at the chain of Sofitel hotels in some chosen Asian countries throughout the year.

The exhibition, which takes place at the Sofitel Saigon Plaza until July 10, is an exclusive collection of 30 photographs tracking each ladder in the actress' career to become one of the leading figures of 20th century cinema, who was also described as a "locomotive of women's history".

The program, which enables the hotel to be the only place hosting the exhibition of the unique photo collection in Vietnam, tells the life story and vividly portrays rare and unique moments in the everyday life of the famous French actress.

Through the photographs which have never been published, visitors can understand different aspects of the life of the actress, who stands out by her sheer beauty, feminine and a positive attitude toward life. Brigitte Bardot is said to represent the liberation of women in the Western world.

Actress Brigitte Bardot, an international star and muse for many artists in the 1950s-1970s, quickly became legendary, a "French Marilyn Monroe".

With 48 films in 21 years of acting career, Brigitte Bardot also known as "BB", one of France's most famous artists in the world. She ended her acting career in 1973 to devote her life to the protection of animals, and charity through her Brigitte Bardot Foundation.

First held in Asia, Sofitel hotel chain will introduce this legendary exhibition in eight cities including Bangkok, Beijing, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Macau, Manila, Mumbai and HCMC.

This is a continuation of the success of the same activity organized at the Sofitel hotels in New York, Chicago, Washington and Los Angeles during the 2012 Oscars week.

The Asian journey of this exhibition started from the Sofitel Wanda Beijing in China on March 14, 2013.

During this exhibition, Sofitel Saigon Plaza will introduce a special cocktail inspired by BB called 'Baby Doll' at Boudoir Lounge to pay tribute to the feminine image and charm of Brigitte Bardot.

Moreover, the hotel's chef Sakal will introduce a special menu, Saint-Tropez, inspired by the name of a beach located in the southern region of France where Brigitte lived in a wooden house covered by bamboo to get away from the bustling city life.
