Nha Trang love-lock bridge celebrates Valentine’s Day

Nha Trang love-lock bridge celebrates Valentine’s Day

Couples are all welcome to join a Valentine’s Day event at the newly-built bridge in Nha Trang resort city, where they’ll be given free pairs of locks to cherish their love and vows to stay together for the rest of their lives.

On Feb 14, the “Lovers’ Night” event at the Champa Love Lock Bridge, which links 2/4 street with the Champa Island, will see couples walking hand in hand, relishing in sweet love songs and sparkling lights.

Modeled after the ‘love lock’ bridges in other countries, the 200m bridge over the Cai River is lined with gorgeous flowers and features two big chains. On the chains hang some hundred love locks, on which couples write their names and dates or anything to celebrate their love. Keys to the locks will then be thrown into the Cai River, so that the locks will never be unlocked, which is symbolic of the lovers’ vows to stay happily together ever after.

Couples usually pose for photos on the bridge and their photos will be posted on Champa’s face fanpage.

Though such love lock bridges have been formed in Hanoi, Hue and Da Lat, the love locks at the Nha Trang bridge come in a wider variety of shapes and colors and are fixed to the chains.
