The German Embassy in Hanoi and the German Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City are calling for applications for the Theme Trips to Germany from February 19 to 27, 2020.
The trips will enable all successful applicants to gain valuable personal as well as professional first-hand impressions of Germany.
Each trip focuses on a different aspect of political, social, cultural or economic life and events, with English being the language of the program.
Target groups include film makers and producers, film critics, festival directors, and curators.
This program is for experts and officials only so no scholarships will be granted to students.
The trips will include an introduction to the different sections of the 70th Berlin International Film Festival, a tour of various festival venues, attending the live broadcast of the festival's opening ceremony and the opening film of the festival, discussions with government representatives on cultural policy with regard to film funding, get-togethers with heads of various festival sectors, and other activities.
The program will cover travel expenses (return flights), accommodations, meals and other related costs. Medical insurance for the duration of the stay in Germany will provided for.
A complete application has to be written in English and includes a letter describing motivations to participate in the trips to Germany, a CV, as well as copies of all relevant documents.
Only shortlisted candidates will be informed and invited to short personal interviews.
Successful candidates will be informed as quickly as possible and receive a written invitation with more details on the study trips and practical procedures.
Multiple applications to more than one study trip are possible.
Candidates who live in Da Nang and south of Da Nang can apply to the German Consulate General, Ms. Pham Huynh Thao Nguyen at pr-100@hoch.diplo.de.
All other applicants apply to the German Embassy, Ms. Le Hong Hoa at pr-100@hano.diplo.de.
The deadline is November 28.
