The light show showcased at HCMC Reunification Palace on Friday night, the first of its kind screened in Asia, packed thousand-year-old history of Vietnam into a 15-minute clip.
It turned the front of the palace into a very big screen telling the history of Vietnam from the founding day, which is said to start some 4,000 years ago, to the present day, representing a lot of traditional images and iconic figures including Lac Long Quan and Au Co, bamboo trees, paddy fields, lantern, traditional games, and lotus flowers.
Vietnamese singer Le Cat Trong Ly and French artist izOrel performed live during the opening session of the show.
This is the final event held within the framework of the French Year in Vietnam to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The show, technically supported by a team of French experts, was on display in 8 sessions on Friday night. It will be performed in 8 sessions on Saturday night, from 7:00pm to 10:30 pm.
