NA delegation visits General Giap on 102nd birthday

A National Assembly delegation led by Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung visited General Vo Nguyen Giap on Friday on his 102nd birthday (August 25) at Central Military Hospital 108 in Hanoi. NA Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu and Head of the NA Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc also was among those who visited General Giap, an outstanding leader of the Vietnamese People’s Army and an excellent student of late President Ho Chi Minh.

After giving his best regards to the General, NA Chairman Hung informed him of the NA’s renewal achievements and recent public poll on the proposed amendments to the 1992 Constitution.

Hung called on the hospital’s doctors and medical staff to continue giving the best care to the General in order to improve his health so that he can continue to contribute to the country's development.

In reply, General Giap showed pleasure at receiving the delegation on his birthday and expressed his belief that the National Assembly, the Government and the people will try their best to attain new socio-economic achievements in the future.
