The confidence vote for the nation’s top political leaders, which was officially announced on late Saturday afternoon, reflects the level of satisfaction of the National Assembly (NA) delegates on the performance of 50 top officials of the country.

The voting supervisory board, comprising 29 NA delegates, worked non-stop to timely get and announce the result, said Nguyen Sinh Hung, President of the NA.

While Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Vice Chairperson of the National Assembly, has the highest number of “high confidence” votes with 390, Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien received the most "low confidence" votes with 192. The result was announced by Huynh Van Ty, chief of the board.

Vice President of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, State President Truong Tan Sang and the chairperson of the Committee of Social Affairs, Truong Thi Mai, topped the chart with 390, 380 and 365 of “high confidence” votes.

The number of “high confidence” votes for the NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung increased slightly to 340 votes, with the voting from over 68 percent NA delegates, compared to 328 last year.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received 320 “high confidence” votes with the voting from 60 percent of NA delegates, up from 210 one in 2013’s voting.

State Bank Governor Nguyen Van Binh has 323 “high confidence” votes, a big jump from 88 votes last year.

The head of the transportation sector, transport minister Dinh La Thang, rose to position No. 4 on “high confidence” votes (362), compared to 186 votes for him in 2013.

The number of “high confidence” votes for Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien dropped to 97 this year from 108 votes last year.

Three members of the government that have the highest number of low confidence votes are Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh, and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Minh Quang.

485 NA deputies out of 497 deputies presented on Saturday for the voting, of which the number of votes issued and collected was 485 with some invalid votes including blank votes.

According to the evaluation process, each delegate had about 30 minutes for deciding.
