Greetings extended to Vietnam on National Day

Leaders from 10 countries have extended their congratulations on Vietnam’s developmental achievements and emphasized their desire to continue strengthening and advancing their relationships with the Southeast Asian nation on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of its National Day (September 2). 

In their celebratory messages, key leaders of Laos warmly congratulated Vietnam on its significant, comprehensive, and historic achievements over the past 78 years.

Laotian leaders emphasized that, under any circumstances, Laos will continue to preserve and nurture the special relationship between the two nations. 

On this occasion, Laotian leaders extended their well-wishes to the Vietnamese Party, state, and people for even greater achievements in the future.

In their congratulatory messages, senior leaders of China expressed confidence that Vietnam will continue to make solid progress on its path toward socialism, tailored to Vietnam’s specific circumstances.

Chinese leaders underscored the utmost importance they place on developing the relations between the two parties and two countries.

They expressed their desire to enhance strategic exchanges and deepen cooperation across various fields with Vietnam.

This approach, they believe, will bring even greater benefits to the people of both nations and contribute positively to regional and global peace, stability, and prosperity.

In their congratulatory letters and messages, Cambodian leaders have expressed their high appreciation for the continuous development of relations between Vietnam and Cambodia in recent time. 

They conveyed their desire to continue close cooperation with Vietnam to strengthen and further develop the enduring bilateral relationship for the mutual benefits of both nations.

Recalling the famous words of late Vietnamese State President Ho Chi Minh, “Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom,” Cuban leaders expressed profound pride in the historical solidarity between the two nations. 

They also affirmed their desire to further promote the special traditional relationship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba.

On this occasion, the General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, sent a joint congratulatory message to Vietnam’s General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and State President Vo Van Thuong.

North Korean Prime Minister Kim Tok Hun sent his congratulatory message to his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Minh Chinh. 

In their congratulatory messages, North Korean leaders celebrated the significant achievements of the Vietnamese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the nation’s building and development.

In their greetings, Indian leaders revisited the historical ties between India and Vietnam. 

They have emphasized Vietnam’s pivotal role in India’s Act East Policy and its vision for the Indian Ocean-Pacific region.

India underscored the collaborative efforts of both nations, recognizing that these efforts not only contribute to the prosperity and stability of each country but also play a positive role in promoting peace, stability, and broader development in the Indian Ocean-Pacific region and the world at large.

High-ranking Russian leaders affirmed that Vietnam is a traditional and reliable partner of Russia in the Asia-Pacific region. 

Russia desires to further strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia within both bilateral and multilateral frameworks, across various sectors.

Russian leaders also expressed their confidence that both sides will continue to enhance their bilateral relations, meeting the interests of the people of both nations.

From Jakarta, President of Indonesia Joko Widodo expressed his confidence that the strategic partnership between the two countries over the past decade has provided a strong foundation to address present and future challenges. 

He reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to further enhancing cooperation with Vietnam for the development of both nations.

Malaysia’s King Al-Sultan Abdullah expressed delight at the deepening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

He believes that with the upcoming celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year, the collaboration between both nations will continue to bring benefits to their citizens and further strengthen the bond between the two countries and their peoples.

President Ferdinand Marcos of the Philippines affirmed that Vietnam is an exemplar of resilience and progress.

He emphasized that the Philippines consistently regards Vietnam as a natural partner in the region and expressed the desire to further deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries, aiming for the commemoration of 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations in 2026.
