The Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 officially opened at Gia Lam Military Airport in Hanoi on Thursday, showcasing military equipment and weaponry, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), tanks, armored vehicles, missiles, helicopters, and infantry weapons.
The four-day event has attracted numerous delegations and visitors from both domestic and international backgrounds.
Scud-B ballistic missiles, T-90S/SK battle tanks, A-10 attack aircraft, and C-130J Super Hercules military aircraft are displayed in an outdoor area.
Meanwhile, the indoor area features many weapons, tanks, and UAVs from Russia, India, Israel, China, and the U.S., with some of them introduced for the first time in Vietnam.

The 2024 International Defense Expo will last until Sunday, gathering over 200 enterprises from more than 30 countries, including the U.S., Russia, the UK, France, Germany, India, Japan, South Korea, China, and others.
The expo, in its second edition, features combat vehicles, weapons, military equipment, and technological solutions for the navy, army, air defense force, logistics, and technical support.
The first Vietnam International Defense Expo was held in 2022, attracting 174 enterprises from 30 countries.
Vietnam’s standard service rifle STV-380, which has been mass-produced to replace AK-47 assault rifles. Besides military officers, young and middle-aged visitors pay attention to weapons showcased by Czechia’s Colt CZ Group. Many countries have used the group’s guns, such as CZ P-09 and CZ P-10 pistols, and CZ Scorpion Evo 3.
