Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Health has launched an online database for treatment regimens compiled by the municipal healthcare sector over the past few years for professionals to refer to.
The website, pddt.medinet.org.vn, has listed 2,366 treatment regimens which are currently in use at 21 leading infirmaries in the city like Children’s Hospitals 1 and 2, the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, the Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital, and Tu Du Hospital.
The treatment regimens, as well as the scientific basis for legal and professional operation and management of the healthcare sector, are important elements ensuring the quality of medical services at a reasonable cost, according to the municipal health department.
They have been prepared in accordance with hospital procedures regulated by the Ministry of Health, according to the department.
They are also evaluated and accredited by the Scientific Council of the Department of Health so that they can be utilized by local health centers and clinics as references and additional treatment options.
The compilation of the database is to help the hospitals which have no or insufficient treatment regimens to choose the appropriate guidelines for treatment, the department said.
Meanwhile, health clinics using data from the database as a foundation to build up their own regimens must clearly cite the reference of origin, and are unable to change the information available there, it added.
