Saigon Water Corporation (Sawaco), Ho Chi Minh City’s water supplier, will cut or reduce its service in six districts on Saturday evening and Sunday for system maintenance.

Particularly, Sawaco will reduce pressure from pumps in Thu Duc 3 Water Plant between 9:00 pm on Saturday and 3:30 am on Sunday.

The pumps are scheduled for a complete close from 3:30 am to 4:00 am Sunday.

Certain wards in six districts of Ho Chi Minh City will be impacted by the service cut.

Specifically, in Thu Duc District, the wards of Binh Chieu, Binh Tho, Hiep Binh Chanh, Hiep Binh Phuoc, Linh Chieu, Linh Dong, Linh Tay, Tam Binh, and Tam Phu will experience low-pressure water from 10:45 pm on Saturday to 3:30 am on Sunday.

Likewise, Wards 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 26, 27, 28 in Binh Thanh District, Ward 1 in Go Vap District, and Wards 12, 13, 14 in District 3 will be subject to the water supply disruption.

More seriously, Wards 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 in Phu Nhuan District, Wards 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 17 in Go Vap District, and An Phu Dong and Thanh Loc Wards in District 12 will suffer from water cuts from 10:45 pm on Saturday to 4:00 am on Sunday.

Sawaco said it has had plans to monitor the entire network to minimize the impact of the water supply halt on the daily routines of Ho Chi Minh City residents.

However, it also warned that people in the aforementioned areas might expect low-pressure and cloudy water after the maintenance due to hydraulic disturbance.
