-- Vietnam’s lawmaking National Assembly began the second phase of the 10th session in Hanoi on Monday, focusing discussions on socio-economic development issues.

-- Speaker of the South Korean National Assembly Park Byeong-Seug joined talks with Vietnamese Party chief and State President Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan in Hanoi on Monday, as part of his official visit.

-- Tropical Storm Goni was located at 450 kilometers southeast of Vietnam's Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago as of 7:00 am on Tuesday, packing winds at 60-75km per hour, the National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting reported, adding that the storm will strengthen before making landfall in south-central provinces on Thursday.

-- As of Monday night, rescuers had found the bodies of nine out of 13 victims who went missing following a landslide that occurred in the central province of Quang Nam on October 29.

-- The Department of Police in the southern province of Dong Nai on Monday established a special unit tasked with ensuring security and order at the site of the Long Thanh mega airport project.

-- Vinamilk, the largest dairy producer in Vietnam, recently imported 500 dairy cows from the U.S., and plans to buy an additional 1,100-1,200 cows in 2021 for its farm in the central province of Quang Ngai with a goal to boost the domestic supply of raw milk.
