More than 33,000 sex toys, personal lubricants, and other sexual wellness products of unknown origin have been found at a warehouse in Ho Chi Minh City.

Market watchdog officers confirmed on Saturday they had inspected a warehouse in Thanh Loc Ward, District 12, owned by Nguyen Duy Phuc.

Approximately 33,480 sexual wellness products including sex toys, personal lubricants, and sex dolls among others were found at the venue.

The owner was unable to present any documents to prove the origin of the products as well as a business license.

The labels of these goods stated they were manufactured in Malaysia, Thailand, China, and the United States.

There was no sub-label in Vietnamese language, which all imported goods must have in accordance with regulations.

All of the products have been confiscated to facilitate an investigation.

According to a representative from the Ho Chi Minh City market management unit, sexual wellness products have become increasingly common due to a rise in demand for these commodities.

Many of these products, however, are contraband and of unknown origin, which can be unsafe for buyers.
