In Vietnam, mom with severe postpartum depression kills own two-month-old baby

Police in Vietnam confirmed on Saturday that Le Thi H., 39, had killed her two-month-old baby following a time suffering from severe postpartum depression.
At around 6:00 am the same day, the baby was found dead in the kitchen of H.’s house in Huong Giang Commune, Huong Khe District, Ha Tinh Province.
Shortly after, H.’s family member spotted her trying to flee the scene on a motorbike and managed to hold her back.
She was then found suffering from postpartum depression, leading her to the killing.
H. started showing signs of severe depression after giving the second birth, according to preliminary investigation.
Her family is arranging a funeral for the baby while police are conducting further investigation into the case.
