-- The Ministry of Health confirmed 3,241 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing Vietnam’s COVID-19 patient tally to 11,408,952.

-- The number of dengue fever cases in Ho Chi Minh City decreased more than 21 percent last week compared to the average of four weeks ago, according to the municipal Center for Disease Control.

-- The People’s Committee of Cam Pha City in northern Quang Ninh Province announced on Tuesday the 15-day suspension of four environment inspection officers for an investigation into their involvement in the illegal household aquaculture in Bai Tu Long Bay.

-- Thirty-four people were wounded after a huge explosion was heard from gas processing tower pipelines on the third floor of SeoJin Auto Company Limited at Dai Dong Industrial Park, Tu Son City, northern Bac Ninh Province at 8:45 am on Tuesday.

-- Vietnam earned US$36.3 billion from exporting agricultural-aquatic-forestry products over the last eight months of 2022, a year-on-year increase of 13.1 percent, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

-- Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Phan Van Mai said at a meeting on Tuesday afternoon that the city’s economic growth target of 6-6.5 percent set out for this year can be exceeded.

-- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended a groundbreaking ceremony for the VND2.3 trillion (US$98.2 million) Son My 1 Industrial Park in the south-central province of Binh Thuan on Tuesday, according to national radio station Voice of Vietnam.
