-- Singaporean President Halimah Yacob met with Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue in Hanoi on Monday afternoon as part of her ongoing state visit to Vietnam.

-- The fourth session of the 15th National Assembly will take place in 21 days starting Thursday, shorter than the usual year-end meetings which normally last about 30 days, the Vietnam News Agency quoted Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly Office Pham Thai Ha as saying on Monday.


-- Storm Nesat was unleashing winds of 118-149km per hour in the East Vietnam Sea as of 4:00 am on Tuesday, the National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting reported, adding that the wind speed will remain for about 12 hours before decreasing.

-- A fire broke out at a shoe sole factory of Changshin Vietnam Company in southern Dong Nai Province on Monday afternoon and burned down a lot of assets.
