A video being shared on social media shows a man, who appears to be a foreigner, vandalizing the security door of a beverage shop in downtown Ho Chi Minh City.
The CCTV of the shop, located on Le Thi Rieng Street in Ben Thanh Ward, District 1, captured the entire incident at 3:32 am on Sunday.
In the footage later shared on social media, the vandal parked his scooter opposite the shop, walked toward it, and started spraying paint on its coiling security door.
He hid the spray paint bottle beneath his T-shirt when a passer-by appeared, and resumed the vandalism after the passer-by left.
He stopped the destruction after 30 seconds and departed on his scooter, leaving behind the graffiti that was accompanied by an apparent signature, 'PRTX,' on both the shop’s door and wall.

There are several other similar malicious paintings on the walls of nearby shops and another on Pham Ngu Lao Street in the same ward.
This is the first time the shop has been defaced since its opening three years ago, according to its employees, who have been able to partly erase the paint stains after trying different methods.
