3 killed in head-on crash in Vietnam’s Central Highlands province

Three women died and four others were seriously injured in a head-on collision between a car and a truck in Lam Dong Province in Vietnam’s Central Highlands region in the early hours of Saturday.

The fatal accident occurred at around 4:00 am on the National Highway 20 section passing through Ninh Gia Commune, Duc Trong District.

Following the frontal collision, three women in the seven-seater car died on the spot, while the four injured were rushed to the Lam Dong General Hospital for emergency treatment.

The trucker was identified as Le Nhu Anh, a 28-year-old native of south-central Binh Dinh Province, and the car driver is Tran Van Quan, 42, residing in southern Binh Phuoc Province, according to a police report.

The car was found to have allegedly traveled on the wrong lane, thereby resulting in the crash.​
