The People’s Committee of Kim Tan Ward in Lao Cai City under the namesake province, located in northern Vietnam, suspended BBMC private kindergarten from operations following reports that a violent altercation between teachers occurred during class.
Luu Thi Huong Giang, vice chairwoman of the Kim Tan Ward People’s Committee, said on Monday that the administration had announced the suspension of all teaching and learning activities at BBMC private kindergarten pending further investigation into a violent scuffle that took place in front of students.
On Friday last week, a video was circulated on Facebook of what appeared to be a brawl between teachers at the kindergarten.
In the video, one of the kindergarten’s employees is seen pushing another employee into a room. Other employees tries to stop the fight while dozens of children are watching it.
Local police began their investigation shortly after being notified of the incident.
On Saturday, the Kim Tan Ward administration asked the owner of the kindergarten to suspend all teaching and learning activities until further notice, Giang said.
Before the incident, the kindergarten had eight teachers, two employees, and two classes with 30 children.
