At 2:30 pm on the same day, rescue personnel received a notification that a foreigner was stuck on a high waterfall in the Suoi Mo Khe Ram area in Hoa Bac Commune under Hoa Vang District.
Dozens of police officers, emergency workers, and vehicles were dispatched to the site for the rescue effort.
They had to cross a narrow pass and a rocky hill to enter the waterfall site.
The powerful waterfall made it difficult for the rescuers to reach the trapped tourist, said an officer.
After 30 minutes of rescue efforts, the victim was safely taken outside the cascade.
