-- Vietnam's Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue met with Mongolia’s President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh in Hanoi on Thursday. President Khurelsukh is on a five-day visit to Vietnam starting on Wednesday.


-- Hanoi has required that residents not charge their electric vehicles overnight at multiple-story houses and mini-apartments.

-- Military forces have safely handled an unexploded wartime bomb found in Tra Vinh Province, southern Vietnam, the provincial Military Command said on Thursday, adding that the bomb weighs 340kg.

-- One died and two were injured when an air conditioner exploded in Ca Mau Province, southern Vietnam on Thursday. Police are investigating the case.

-- The weather is forecast to be sunny in most parts of Vietnam on Friday but rain is expected at dusk in the southern region.


-- The Saigon Hi-Tech Park management granted an investment registration certificate to the Nethernlands' BE Semiconductor Industries N.V. on Thursday. The company is expected to install equipment in 2024 and start operating in 2025.

-- Vietnam's football club Hoang Anh Gia Lai has been renamed LPBank HAGL after signing a sponsorship deal with the Vietnamese bank on Thursday.
