Lottery ticket vendor returns $785 in cash after spotting it in Vietnam’s Dong Nai

A woman who earns a living as a lottery ticket vendor in Dong Nai Province, a neighbor of Ho Chi Minh, found a wallet containing over VND7 million (US$285) alongside $500 and handed it over to the local police force to return to its owner.
At 8:00 am on Thursday, the lottery ticket vendor, named Dinh Thi Hoa, spotted a man’s wallet on a road while she was working.
She saw cash and papers of a foreigner inside the wallet.
She immediately brought it to the police station in Gia Kiem Commune, Thong Nhat District, Dong Nai Province and asked the police officers to look for the wallet’s owner.
The police found that the wallet belongs to a foreigner temporarily residing in the commune and returned it to this person.
The foreigner later expressed his gratitude to Hoa and the police officers.
