Ho Chi Minh City’s water supplier Saigon Water Corporation (Sawaco) has announced a water outage this weekend in District 1, District 3, District 4, District 5, District 10, and Phu Nhuan District for an upgrade at the Thu Duc City water plant.

The upgrade will take place between 10:00 pm on Saturday and 2:00 am on Sunday, the company said.

This will result in a water outage across the entirety of District 1, District 3, District 4, District 5, District 10, and Phu Nhuan District.

Water will also be shut off in Wards 1, 2, 3, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22, 24, and 25 in Binh Thanh District and Tan Binh District’s Wards 1, 3, 4, 5, 12.

Furthermore, water supply will be halted during the mentioned time frame in Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, and 12 in District 6.

Tan Thuan Dong Ward in District 7, Wards 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 in District 8, and Wards 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 in District 11 will also see their water off.

In Thu Duc City, Linh Xuan, Linh Trung, Linh Chieu, Truong Tho, Linh Tay, Linh Dong, Thao Dien, An Phu, Binh Trung Tay, Binh Trung Dong, Cat Lai, Thanh My Loi, Hiep Phu, Tang Nhon Phu A, Tang Nhon Phu B, Phuoc Long B, Tan Phu, Long Binh, Long Thanh My, Truong Thanh, Long Phuoc, Long Truong, and Phu Huu Wards will be subject to the water supply disruption.

Meanwhile, Binh Hung and Phong Phu Wards in Binh Chanh District and Ward 2 in Tan Binh District will experience low water pressure.

Sawaco has cautioned that following the expected four-hour disruption, the recovery of water in the supply network in locations more distant from the source may be slower than initially anticipated.

The firm said it has instructed its affiliated units to adjust the water supply network to minimize any inconvenience in the affected areas.
