-- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has issued a directive to expedite the investigation into a grave traffic accident on the Cam Lo-La Son Expressway in Thua Thien-Hue Province, central Vietnam, where a collision involving a seven-seater car and a tractor-trailer resulted in the loss of three lives on Sunday. Authorities initiated legal proceedings against the car driver on the same afternoon.

-- On Sunday, a collision involving multiple vehicles occurred on the Trung Luong-My Thuan Expressway, leading to substantial damage to numerous vehicles and causing prolonged traffic congestion towards Ho Chi Minh City.

-- Rescue teams are actively searching for a tourist who deliberately parted ways from their group on Saturday and is currently missing in a tourist area renowned for adventure tourism activities like stream wading, mountain climbing, and forest exploration in Khanh Hoa Province, located in south-central Vietnam.

-- Local authorities announced on Sunday that Quang Tri Province in north-central Vietnam is slated to receive a C-119 aircraft, which participated in the war against the U.S. in Vietnam, from the Ministry of National Defense for display at the Ta Con airport relic in Huong Hoa District.

-- Some 900 tonnes of lithium batteries were on fire at a battery recycling plant in southern France, authorities said on Sunday, sending a cloud of thick black smoke into the sky above the site, according to Reuters.

-- Seven more public sites in Sydney, including a school, sports hub and supermarket, were exposed to asbestos, authorities said on Monday, as the contamination of the toxic material widened and officials rushed to remove it from public spaces, according to Reuters.
