The administration in Da Nang City, central Vietnam has plans to establish a temporary park on an empty plot of land initially designated for a financial center project to showcase dragon mascots, flowers, and miniatures used as decorations during the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday, or Tet.
Le Quang Nam, deputy chairman of the People’s Committee of Da Nang, announced on Monday that the city endorsed the temporary park proposal from the municipal Department of Construction.
The committee assigned the department the responsibility of supervising and collaborating with MoNo BoGo Vietnam Ltd. and Minh Tuan Tu Consulting and Construction Co. Ltd. to develop a scheme for assembling all dragon mascots utilized in the Tet festivities, which concluded on Sunday, as well as flower-decorated miniatures, at a new location.
Their designated venue is a 2.8-hectare plot of land northwest of the intersection of Vo Van Kiet and Vo Nguyen Giap Streets, originally meant for a financial center project that has yet to commence.
The Construction Technical Consulting Center is charged with drafting a design plan for the temporary construction of the new park on this land lot.
The project must adhere to landscape architecture standards with the goal of creating a new tourist attraction, complete with necessary facilities like restrooms and performance stages.
Moreover, outdoor art performances, food kiosks, and photo booths will be available to enrich the experience for visitors and tourists.
