– British Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Emily Hamblin on Wednesday announced an additional £40 million (US$54 million) to extend the Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA), a global technical assistance program funded by the UK government, until 2029 to support at least 800 low-carbon projects in 16 countries across Asia, Latin America, and Africa, including Vietnam.

– Competent forces have successfully deactivated a 340-kilogram bomb left over from wartime in the central province of Quang Binh, the Vietnam News Agency cited a local official as saying on Wednesday.

– Phu Quoc, an island city off Kien Giang Province in southern Vietnam, expects to reopen a direct air route to India in order to boost tourism growth, Huynh Quang Hung, chairman of the local People’s Committee told a reception for Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, on Wednesday.
