A luggage dolly collided with a plane of Taiwanese air carrier Starlux Airlines at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on Wednesday, delaying a flight from the Vietnamese capital to Taiwan for nearly three hours.

At 5:16 pm, a tractor was towing two luggage dollies from the T2 passenger terminal to the aircraft parking area when a dolly was unhitched and hit the front section of Starlux Airlines’ A321 aircraft.

The aircraft was planned to be used for the JX718 flight slated to depart at 5:45 pm.

The collision left scratches and a dent measuring 19cm x 1.2cm x 0.023 cm on the aircraft’s nose.

After technicians fixed the problem, the JX718 flight departed from Noi Bai International Airport at 8:42 pm the same day.
