-- Vietnam's Party General Secretary and State President To Lam welcomed Chang Ho Jin, Special Advisor on Foreign Affairs and Security to President of South Korea Yoon Suk Yeol, during a reception in Hanoi on Tuesday.

-- From January to September, 30 streets in Ho Chi Minh City experienced flooding during rain, with water receding within 30 minutes, according to the municipal Department of Construction.

-- Real estate developer Sun Group has proposed to the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee the construction of a 78.2 km road along the Saigon River, extending from Cu Chi District to the projected Can Gio Bridge, featuring eight to 10 lanes instead of the planned three or four lanes.

-- Drug use in Vietnam is starting at younger ages, with about 60 percent of first-time users being between 15 and 25 years old, and a growing number as young as 13-15, according to the Department of Drug Crime Investigation under the Ministry of Public Security.

-- In 2023, Ho Chi Minh City lost its appeal for the first time as an ideal destination for internal migrants from other provinces and cities. The growth rate of the migrant population dropped to just 0.67 percent, or about 65,000 people, according to Pham Chanh Trung, head of the city's Population and Family Planning Branch.

-- Bamboo Airways will officially resume international flights on November 26, starting with one round-trip flight per day on the direct route between Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City and Don Mueang International Airport of Bangkok, Thailand, according to the Vietnam News Agency.

-- Brazilian striker Rafaelson Fernandes, who plays for Thep Xanh Nam Dinh FC in Vietnam's top-tier V.League 1, was officially granted Vietnamese citizenship on Tuesday at the Nam Dinh Province Department of Justice.
