-- Vietnam's Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan agreed to elevate the two countries’ bilateral relations to a comprehensive partnership at their closed-door talks in Abu Dhabi on Monday, on the occasion of the Vietnamese government leader's official visit to the Middle Eastern country through Tuesday. The UAE is Vietnam's first comprehensive partner in the Middle East.

-- Viettel Cyber Security, an arm of Vietnam’s military-run telecom group Viettel, claimed the championship at the 2024 Pwn2Own competition, held in Ireland from October 22-25, marking the second time the cybersecurity company has won the world’s largest cybersecurity competition.

-- On Monday, national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines signed memoranda of understanding for cooperation with the UAE's leading airlines, Etihad Airways and Emirates. The deals were made in the presence of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh during his official visit to the Middle Eastern country, which continues through Tuesday.
