-- The release of water from reservoirs and heavy rain caused floodwaters to rise rapidly in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, south-central Vietnam on Sunday evening, prompting many people to rush to move their belongings to avoid flooding.
-- Authorities from Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa Provinces have joined forces to provide food, accelerate cleanup efforts, and evacuate nearly 100 residents and tourists from Khanh Le Pass in Khanh Hoa, which has been blocked by landslides.
-- Prolonged heavy rains have caused landslides that obstructed traffic on Ninh Thuan Province’s coastal road and flooded more than 100 houses in low-lying areas of the south-central Vietnamese province.

-- According to a report from March to August, Vietnam generated nearly US$55 million for Japanese retail corporate group Aeon, marking a 14.5-percent increase compared to the same period last year.
